Liérganes es un municipio y localidad de la comunidad autónoma de Cantabria situado en la comarca de Trasmiera. Limita al norte con Medio Cudeyo, al este con Riotuerto, al sur con Miera y al oeste con Penagos. Por su territorio discurre el río Miera, caudal que alimenta al balneario de Liérganes.
